I owned one of these in the early 1970s and they continue in production unchanged today. I don't know the details, but there may have been ownership changes, but I think the tripod has remained the same. This was a solid, functional tripod, with only two small flaws. from Amazon.com I recently purchased this tripod, and have been very impressed with its construction and sturdy design. I am an amateur photographer, and it took me a bit of research to decide which tripod to buy. from Amazon.com I've owned a genuine Tilt-All tripod since the early 70s and until the main column lock (responsible for twisting and height) stopped clamping about a month ago would not have replaced it, despite its ugly, aged, oxidized, scratched and scuffed aluminum brightness that reflects in too many photos.
