This version should be champagne in color, not black. The Versipod II with magmount is the one that is black and cost about $20 more. from Buy.com Overall engineering seems pretty good, sections move smoothly, lock seem to be secure, the finish is really nice, BUT... Velcro strap to hold the legs closed? Sunpak makes some pretty good stuff.
