at this price i can afford for them to lose or break a few, but they're good enough for general purpose work with smaller slrs and lenses (i wouldn't use this tripod with a heavy camera or lens).

this tripod should be fine for any point and shoot camera but it is very bad idea for any nice slr camera, especially with a long lens.

most important: it's compact, folded at 20inches, can be carried within my backpack(a little tight though) for a day hiking.

i do have another big, heavy tripod for windy days but plan to carry this one on hiking trails and long distance trips.

when there was a strong wind, i leaned a bag, backpack, or beach towel around one of the legs and that gave me more piece of mind...
Positives:
Good Affordability, Nice Portability, Good Versatility, Type: Tripod
