we were looking for a toaster to toast thicker breads such as bagels.
i love bagels, and they fit in this toaster well.
the bagels come out great---no fighting trying to get them out either!
it toasts bagels perfectly!!and the self-adjusting feature for regular sliced bread is a great bonus!!
the slots are nice and wide to accommodate bagels and i really like the "frozen food" button that allows you to tell the toaster if the item is frozen or thawed.
i really like that it is wide enough for texas toast or bagels and it heats up fast, i can toast mutiple slices back to back in a short period of time.
it toasts pretty well, even with bagels, although it can run a little hot some days and not so hot others.
the crumb tray is easily accessible to clean, it looks nice, the wattage is more than cheaper models, and it has wide slots for bagels and such.
the countdown timer, crumb tray, defrost, bagel settings, are only a few of the reasons to purchase this toaster.
bagels can be a very tight fit depending on their size (length and width).
works very well, especially on bagels and gives uniform results.
slots are more than wide enough to accept bagels
i replaced an old toaster oven with this toaster and absolutely love it.....it's like the first really good toast i've had in ages....also great for bagels.....and it looks terrific in the kitchen
i've never had a problem with burnt toast because the temperature dial actually works it has four different settings for toast, bagel, frozen, and warm which actually live up to their promise...
the slots are wide enough for bagels and long enough for artisan bread (unlike the cuisinart).
bagels, toast, frozen bagels, all come out perfectly browned.
there are preset buttons on the front of the toaster that allows you to make perfect toast or bagels every time!
this is a great toaster, and it saves a lot of time and energy with the slots being wide enough to even put hamburger buns in it to toast for burgers with the "bagel" button so it just toasts the one
it has a cancel button, reheat, bagels fit fine too.
she enjoys toasting her day-old panera bread bagels and has taken my advice to spread cream cheese on them afterwards.

we've toasted bread, bagels, and english muffins in it all very successfully.

it absolutely cooks bread and bagels (frozen too) perfectly!
pros: looks nice, bagel & frozen button settings, overall toasts well cons: found the "medium" setting wasn't really medium (more light), was hard to find in stores
pros: consistency in toasting, fine adjustment capable, bagel and frozen setting features cons: crumb tray is messy when you remove it, ejector springs a bit weak.
it is perfect, as she can cook toast and bagels in the unit.
also it doesn't warm frozen bagels enough even if you hit the "frozen" button, but does fine with regular ones.
very nicely finished toaster with great features...the bagel feature is the best!
i wish it had the bagel option, though.
it does not have any options as far as one sided bagel toasting, warming, etc.
could be a wee bit wider in slots (bagels just fit.) the bottom line: i recommend this toaster for those who live in an imperfect world but will be happier if they can at least get perfect toast.
it is heavy duty all steel and heavy bake-lite type knobs, and it perfectly toasts bread or bagels.
there is no centering mechanism so regular thickness bread slices do lean in the slot and do toast unevenly and there is no bagel option...
i have used the "bagel" setting for english muffins and it works well, toasting just the inside surface of the muffin while warming the crust side.
the toaster looks really great, has options for bagels and frozen items.
cooks anything thawed or frozen or fresh; bagel, toast, english muffin, muffin...
four slots with choices of bagels, toast/loaf etc is nice.
it also has a "bagel" setting which earns it another star but that's where the generosity ends.
our old toaster would never toast evenly, and would always burn the toast, especially bagels.
bagels come out perfectly and toast is never burnt (unless the wrong button gets pushed and then it's just user error...) i love it and have given many as wedding/new home gifts to many a set of
i am not sure what the warm or bagel buttons do but i haven't spent a lot of time puching these buttons.
