there's a frozen button we have yet to explore- we have only had it a couple weeks if that, but also i like the medium size very much- not too large on the counter...
i say near perfect because the bagel does not come out as hot as i'd like, so i leave it in for an extra couple of minutes using the defrost feature which is also great for keeping your toast warm.
won't latch down if it's not plugged-in, a nice feature - if you're in a hurry, throw a couple slices in, push them down.

we received our new 2-slice kitchenaid kmtt200 toaster a couple of weeks ago and love it.
this unit did make a little bit of a funny smell the first couple of times used but after that then does not put off any funny smell.
it may seem like "over-toast" to have a 4-slicer on the kitchen counter for a couple of aging baby-boomers left in the empty nest.

i would probably give it 3-1/2 stars if i could because of the items i mentioned above coupled with the price - a little high compared to some other offerings - but overall i'm very satisfied.
also, i noticed that the first couple of toasting cycles created uneven results--fine on one side, but underdone on the other.
do use the toaster empty a couple of times when it is brand new.
takes 5-1/2 minutes on darkest toasting level and then i have to rotate the muffins and retoast a couple of minutes longer.
