in addition to the other features already mentioned about this toaster, i like the little "grabber things" which center uneven split bagles or english muffins in the slots right before they lower
it's features are actually quite simple and not over-the-top with useless functions no one would ever use.
the price of this breville is a bit hard to take, however it performs beautifully and is built like the sturdy toasters i remember as a kid while having very modern features.
i just could not bring myself to pay $128 for a toaster, but after reading features, was also unable to buy anything else.
add to this all the fun bells and whistles like the "lift and look" and the "a bit more" features and we are completely over the moon about our new toaster.
the bagel function works great, and it only toasts the cut side of the bagel, obviously.
the little bit more and just a little longer feature are sheer genius, besides the toaster is built with some substance, not just a throw away like others we have seen.
we have always had a breville toaster and when we moved to the us and had to buy all new apliances we looked around and ended up with another breville, the new functions are all great and looks great
it toasts evenly, i like the lifting mechanism (so that no one is digging toast out of the toaster with a fork!), and the defrost feature works well.
i was looking for a 4 slice toaster and chose this one because it had the features i wanted and i trust the krups brand as i have other krups appliances and like them very much.
takes up more counter space than i thought it would, but the features on it are worth it.
it has a great feature -- you can get smaller bread items to pop up further with a handle.
i particularly like the feature that allows you to raise the bread out of the toaster by bringing the leaver back to far left, this way you're not digging to get the toast out.
also, this toaster happened to be featured in desparate housewives in the house of gabrielle solis!
so far the toaster has functioned as is stated it would.
it functions and looks like a commercial toaster; i would not recommend it for a small kitchen, though.
so my wife convinced me to try a toaster, and we got this on seeing as it's somewhat mid-priced (no more budget appliances for me!) and it has several cool features - the high-lift lever and the
it does what it supposed to do very well and comes with some really handy features that i didn't think i would need at first.
[...] works great!love the lift and look feature.
the lift feature without shutting off the unit is great, specially to help learn what settings to use.
but the features are great.great for bagels, toast, english muffins etc.easy cleaning, even temp.for a more precise toasting.great looks for the person wanting a upgrade for their kitchen small
the feature of being able to lift whatever is in the toaster to see if it is done to your satisfaction is very useful.
it was time for a new toaster - so, i did my research, read quite a few reviews, and found that this breville was rated the best not only for it's features, but the fact that it does what it's
this is a great looking and functioning product!
as for features, it's pretty basic.
nice toaster, functional good looking small appliance.
design is superb a at the same time it's function.it is very smooth to operate and does the best "toasting" we ever had.
the features for thaw and rewarm are great.
browns evenly, and the lift & look feature (does not interupt the toasting cycle) is great if you are toasting a new kind of bread for the first time or not quite sure how dark it will get on a
i like the defrost feature, the darkness control, and the fact that it centers items to be toasted between heat sources, and toasts bagels more in the center than on the crusts.
it has some nice features - the beeping when toast is done and being able to look at toast without canceling the cycle.
the features in this toaster are much better than our previous toasters.
this was the only one that had this feature.
i like the 'warm' feature--keeps the toast warm while you cook your eggs!
the toaster functions the way you want and the feature that allows toasting on one side of the bread is nice.
if they could add a feature to raise smaller items such as english muffins it would get five stars.
it works very nicely & i love the new colors (i have the blue willow) i really like the bagel setting & the warm function.
it has generous slots and a bagel feature.
we do bagels, and it has a great feature were you can push a button and turn off the side that does the tops to keep them from burning like they usually do in a toaster that doesn't have this feature.
i say near perfect because the bagel does not come out as hot as i'd like, so i leave it in for an extra couple of minutes using the defrost feature which is also great for keeping your toast warm.
won't latch down if it's not plugged-in, a nice feature - if you're in a hurry, throw a couple slices in, push them down.
i recommend this to people who want a functional toaster with with an easy to clean exterior, at a reasonable price.
it's a dandy, both in style and function.
the hold feature ensures that the toast is kept warm until you can retrieve it.
additional nice features are the start mechanism (the item can stay lowered prior to toasting) and the beep and light-off reminder that toasting is finished.this toaster looks great in a kitchen with
we enjoy the keep warm feature that keeps the toast warm until we are ready to spread it with jam or whatever we wish.
it toasts very evenly, & the "keep warm" feature is great.
extremely well made with great features.
it features a bagel button, which works well to warm the inside of your bagel, a reheat button which i find myself using frequently, and a convenient "stop" button, which instantly stops the toaster.
looks great, toasts great, and has special features my old toaster never heard of like reheat.
the different features/buttons are great.
the best feature is the the lever to lift the toast out of the unit so you don't have to go fishing in the unit.
he loves this product, and says that all the features are really useful.
the bagel function is nice and so is the frozen button.
looks great on counter as i have all stainless appliances and is easy to wipe down-no problem with streaking; trays are stainless also not plastic; like the warming feature-just wish it remained on
with this toaster i have used the bagel and warming functions - both worked perfectly.
now that her blood pressure is about normal (food usually tastes better when our body is functioning normally) she agrees that the toaster is worth the money.
it toasts evenly and i enjoy the bagel function which will allow it to only toast one side.
not only is it nice to look at, it is also extremely well made, easy to use and has wonderful features like the audible tone when the toast is ready and (my favorite) toast being kept warm until you
it does cost a lot of money, but the high price is justified by excellent quality, rather than a lot of elaborate settings and features that you wouldn't use anyway.
having experienced it's quality, dependability, and refreshing design i felt free to buy it for my son and daughter-in-law who have fine taste for function and design.
truly the function was second to form for me, but it actually outperformed my expectations.
and it took the kids a little while to get used to the toast not popping up -- but we've come to really like that feature.
nice feature: when you press the lever down, this toaster actually hugs your breads to keep it in the center of the chambers.has all the features you could want: cancel button, defrost button, one
toasts evenly and has very nice features you don't find on standard toasters.seems to take a little longer to toast and is a little bigger than i expected.
really like the defrost feature.
will look and function like new for years and years.
it has a retro-round slanted top (read other reviews about its slanted top, the photo may be misleading) is well built and has easy to use features.
like the heating feature on top.
this toaster is a bit big and a bit expensive, but i think it is worth it for all the high-tech features and extras like the warmer on top.
you need to following the instructions about initially running it without toast in it so it will function properly.
this toaster is beautiful on your counter, has great features but didn't even come close to an evenly browned piece of bread....at least two to three shades difference on a small piece of toast.
all of the great features that i love:
the only additional feature i would have liked is a way to elevate the toast to remove it.
bagels cook perfectly because there are fewer electric elements on the "rounded-side" of the bagel (after you push in the bagel feature).i like the crumb-empty feature also, because they (crumbs)
this feature is really nice when toasting soft things such as pop-tarts.
pros: reasonably priced, removable crumb tray, cancel feature cons: none
the bagel feature - turning off one side of toasting, is fine, except you cannot turn it back on till the current toasting is finished.
love the feature where you pop the toast up yourself to get it out when you are ready.
by design, it took awhile to get accustomed to the features.
no automatic bread pop-up(which is the only auto function i would have liked).
(can easily watch for that perfect moment when it's just the way i like it); all controls are large enough and well positioned; i use the reheat function to warm already buttered toast...ummmmm!
it is the best-designed, longest-lasting, best-functioning toaster we have ever owned, in a long line of toasters.
this toaster is a replacement for an older avante that also had the bagel feature.
in particular it's nice to have the lift feature if you like artisanal bread which doesn't always come in a traditional shape or size.
the product works as advertised and i would highly recommend it based on its price and functionality.
i'm very happy with this toaster; i chose it for its features and its looks.
it is very sturdy and has some features that others don't.
it's just as great as the 4 slice with all the same features.
it works well and very nice hidden buttons and features.
while i like the functionality of the esclusivo toaster with warming rack, including the wide openings which allow for thicker slices of bread, buns and bagels, as a designer, its form and stainless
the warming rack is a great bonus feature and the auto-toast sinking is just plain, cool gadgetry.
my husband likes the automatic feature of the toast going up and down.
we love the motorized feature, and the de'longhi was the only one we could find that had it.
if the ideal is form follows function, this product does not make the grade.
