Functionality is very good. Heating is quite intense so low settings work best for most items. Just got the toaster recently so cannot yet comment on durability but expect to be excellent based on my Russell Hobbs electric tea kettle which I have had for years . RH products are very solidly made. from Amazon.com They lasted a lifetime. Not so today. My saga began with a wonderful ad for the Russell Hobbs 4-slicer in an old-time-goods catalog. The cost was $99.99 plus postage, a $114 total! from Amazon.com it is not nearly as complicated as it sounded. from Amazon.com it is easy to clean with it's little slide out trays and has not disappointed in over a year of use. from Amazon.com appearance is somewhat large but it is nice to have four toasting slots. from Amazon.com the construction seems solid (not flimsy), and performance is consistent.we mostly make toast, pop-tarts, bagels. from Amazon.com purchasing from amazon was fast, easy and reliable. from Amazon.com my saga began with a wonderful ad for the russell hobbs 4-slicer in an old-time-goods catalog. from Amazon.com same toast the same way every time. from Amazon.com this is the slowest toaster i've ever seen. from Amazon.com
