The toast went right through without toasting. The trap doors that are supposed to hold the toast in place were open and would let the bread slide out without toasting it! I found a number to call West Bend, the manufacturer, and they sent a replacement. That was good news. from Amazon.com Trying to toast up flat bread and have it fall out just didn't work. I had to return it. C'mon West Bend - it's not a space shuttle.
