i think it runs on 500 watts if put all the way at the highest setting and my oven when broiling runs at 3700 watts.

the halogen said it went up to 400 degrees but my oven thermometer said only 350 and the halogen seems to do more grilling and not roasting.

i wouldn't describe the toasting quality as "perfectly even", but it does a good job, and has a wider array of toasting levels than my old toaster.
