"this latest unit from george foreman is a wonderful product that saves time and energy, and allows you to set it and forget it - until the buzzer rings telling you dinner is ready!
i don't use my big oven much any more, but this unit is better suited to 1-2 people as it would be too small for a family.
the unit does cook a rotisserie chicken very well but the bird can't be too large (or it will hit the sides and/or heating elements).
we are full time rvers and this unit stays on our counter top and makes preparing meals simpler.
i would, and do, recommend this toaster oven/broiler/rotisserie to anyone looking for a good primary baking unit or as a back-up for a full size oven as it does not use as much energy and produces
i recommend this thoughtfully designed unit.thank you walmart for a great little countertop oven for an even greater price, really the best price anywhere.i ordered it on line and picked it up at the
i like it for the space saving unit and the flexibilty of having a convection or baking oven.
the ample oven room is great but the unit is not overly heavy for its size.
i have had this unit for over 6 months now, i use it every day.
the bottom line: quartz heaters give vastly superior performance over other brands & thus allow unit to perform it's primary function properly: toast and broil.
it toasts on both sides (because the heating units alternate from top to bottom).
prior to deciding on the krups oven i looked at several other units varying in price from $29.99 to $200.
it's everything i was looking for: a rugged, high-quality unit that has simple, intuitive controls.
and chipped non stick coating on the broiler pan (my unit is in perfect, level condition), and (3) the oven exgterior is much too hot when in use (normal exterior heat to my touch so no problem here.
i like having the coffee maker and toaster oven as one unit.
it will not take up a big space, and i will have 3 appliances in 1 unit.
"all i want to point out for this breakfast maker is that this unit is very convenience and save time.
first, the power cord is permanently attached to the top heating unit - no more detachable plug.
- the top of the unit is not flat, so it discourages setting the tray there and scratching the top
the top of the unit gets very warm, but doesn't feel as though it would burn you if you touched it quickly.
the unit fully lives up to all of it's 4.5 and 5 star reviews.
because of it's large interior and a fan to circulate the heat inside the oven, it heats much faster than our old unit.
this unit is deeper than your normal toaster oven.
this unit can toast 4-6 slice of bread and back a 12" pizza.
the racks adjust and no rust except for the exterior of the unit.
the manual warns about this, but i accidentally touched the back of the unit while cooking, and luckily it was only for a fraction of a second, but it came close to giving me quite a burn.
the convection cooking makes it actually useful and reliable for cooking and baking, the digital controls are well designed, and the unit is easy to clean and attractive.
the features on this unit that sold me were: a full-size frozen pizza would fit inside; convection made for faster cooking times; online reviews were generally very positive; the "upper rack" idea
we have had this unit for several weeks now and so far we are very happy with it.
it does cook faster than my old unit and the warmer is a great convenience.
this latest unit from george foreman is a wonderful product that saves time and energy, and allows you to set it and forget it - until the buzzer rings telling you dinner is ready!
portions at the back of the unit definitely get darker than those at the front.
(and you must remember to turn it on) the user guide states to unplug the unit if your not using it.
yes, what eactly is that 'hmmm' sound coming from this unit whenever it's plugged in?
the unit beeps at you when you select a cooking function, and it's rather loud.
since this is a computer or programming glitch, and the unit is computer controlled, it is not an acceptable flaw.
i think i said it all in the headline, but i just opened the box last night and plugged the brand-new unit in, all ready to toast some pine nuts.
the unit does wobble out of the box, you have to adjust the one leg by twisting it to the proper length.
2) after a few months my unit started beeping continually soon after turning it on.
they will be shipping me a new unit (7-10 days), and i'll have to return the old one back to them (along with $20 for shipping both ways).
that is not an option for us, as it would be much too expensive (it is a heavy unit).
it got so hot that it began to warp the oven tray that was sent with the unit.
very well made - efficient little unit.
i love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp.
i initially purchased one of these for our first rental unit, which had a gas rangetop, but no space for an oven.
in the past, in different houses, i have purchased this same unit b/c it's effective and b/c it's unique.
the unit cooks great and is easy to use.
the slide-out crumb tray is just a tray that sits on the bottom of the unit and it doesn't catch everything, but it's a reasonable, cheap solution.
the only problem i have with the unit is: the maximum time you can set for cooking is 15 minutes and then it automatically turns off.
i think the quality is a little bit better, it is a little deeper making it a little bigger and the tempeture is more consistant than the other units in it's price range.
only quirk is the lever to switch to oven and close top off is tricky on mine, 2 or 3 tries to get it in exactly the right spot for the red oven light to come on - thus 4 stars on my unit.
(the instructions say you can just pull up on the handle, but this does not work on our model.) to get around this, we either unplug the unit or switch it over to oven (but this covers up the top of
the unit has a slot on the top, so if you want to do convetional toast, you stick the pieces in the slot and toast away.
good value for the price, and the unit seems well mad.e
the good--this is a sturdy, attractive unit that feels substantial and yet it isn't bulky or cumbersome.now, the bad: the toaster function at the top (the slot) works fine for toasting, but, if you
don't own unit yet.owned farberware portable convection oven over 20yrs ago & liked it very much.
i got this unit a few weeks ago and i've been quite impressed with it, especially in light of its very reasonable price.
we neede to replace our 20+ year old unit; so sorry to see it go.
i bought the unit to use for curing powder coated items.
all except the rotisserie; when used, grease runs from the unit onto the countertop even though the unit is level and the drip tray is not full.
i would have preferred to have a bit bigger unit with better insulation (even at a higher price) so that the chance of burns would have been reduced.
will know better after several years of use.unit is functioning as promised no problems at all.
i wanted a countertop convection oven that would accomodate a pizza or 9 x 13 pan, and this unit was supposed to do that.
the crumb tray pulls out fromthe front of the unit, making cleaning much easierthan the more common bottom-opening tray.
the unit that i had often kept cooking with the door open--poor safety interlocking; worse, it sometimes wouldn't shut off.
a piece of toast fell on the heating coil (while i was foolish enough to leave the boyfriend in charge of waffle preparation) and rather than unplug the unit, he just left it there.
