THE CONTROLS ARE EASIER TO SEE AND OPERATE THAN WERE THE CONTROLS ON OUR PAST TWO DELONGHIS WE HAD. The directions are sparse, but the item is just like any other appliance - you must figure out how to use it with your needs.
