That is a fire hazard! Then it started working again no problems for about 4 weeks! Until now, and I can not return it now and I have to send it back to Krups to fix it! After the countdown started (usually with about 30 seconds remaining), the digital screen no longer showed time of the countdown and was replaced by squiggly lines.
