it is however, perfect for baking small items when you don't need the big oven.
my other issue is cooking pies or cassaroles with a crust top...you must cover the top with foil for the majority of the cooking or it will burn, and burn quickly it will...funny enough the same
that being said, i have it sitting on a baking stand about 3 inches from the wall and i have felt the wall while it was cooking and was very comfortable that there was no danger of anything
i baked cookies that turned out beautiful.
we replaced it with a 6-slice toaster/convection oven which works fine.
i think it is good for baking food in smaller portion/size.
just this week i made the most delicious breaded pork chops, french fries, chocolate chip muffins, all kinds of cookies without any problems.
i tried also to use the convection function to make breaded shrimps and oninon rings.
the toaster and baking features worked perfectly but the timer was defective.
the unit turned itself on and it was baking itself.
i have had this oven for about 5 months and have used it for everything: from hot dogs, to burgers, steaks, apple pie, frozen foods and even my own recipes.
