i have looked at the moon with this telescope, and it really makes it look close.
i think it is a great telescope for young children & beginners.we've only looked at the moon for the past two nights.
the two lens that comes with it (one for sight seeing, and one space observations ) works really well.
we have had it only since the summer months, so we have spent most of our time looking at the moon and jupiter and four of it's moons.
it really shows great detail of the moon too!
the first thing i noticed was the moons, it was really exciting to see.
we were just amazed by the sharp resolution when we first saw the moon.
good views of planets.
the moon is breath taking.
even with the 20mm eyepiece you can see four of the moons as though they were only miles away.
it was so nice to focus my new galileo telescope to this star that turned to be saturn with his rings at the end, and over a week later at early morning i could watch jupiter with three of his moons.
the first time i used it, i had no problems seeing the craters in the moon.
if this had cost $30 more, i would only give it 3 stars.
i bought this telescope for myself because i always loved space.
you can see the moon very well but not the start i found that this is a good piece of equipment to have for your children to view the moon
i like use the celestron nexstar 130 slt telescope by celestron when i am with my family and friends in camping and i like this model because it look for the stars automatic .
great telescope, detail in orion nebula/moon/moons of jupiter it vibrates as you focus but that is okaygoto is very easy, just make sure that your tripod is level pros: accurate, goto is very
the clarity it provides in viewing space is tremendous.
the double axis tracking allows me to see the rings of saturn from the living room by aligning on a planet: the degradation of the image through the plate glass windows (but hey it way below zero
i would highly recommend this telescope to any beginner considering becoming more than a novice with the stars.
you can see the planets for sure, the moon looks awesome through this telescope,it will not dissapoint you.autoalign is quit hard to use but it does work.
i purchased the ds-2130lnt reflector telescope with lnt autoalign technology to fulfill a lifelong dream and that was be able to look up and see the stars.
it gives you a great view of the moon, stars, and planets.
the more you read reviews these much more experienced people seem to always never buy the right scope.this scope is better than a beginners scope, light wieght and good details of the moon.keep this
i love looking at planets this is my 2nd scope ..it great..
i have seen other globular clusters and stars.
the product itself is truly nice, works great for viewing the stars plus...
work super and you see jupiter, saturn, venus and moon and more, is best telescope for make photos.
some of the most rewarding objects - the moon, jupiter, saturn, and the orion nebula look wonderful through this telescope.
my grandson really loves his telescope...even stole out of his bed one night..to look at the stars.
it was pretty cold and we just did some viewing of the moon and a couple of stars from the front yard.
we were actually able to see mars (which looked like a little orange moon)and saturn.
to elevate their understanding and observing the planets, celestial objects and phenomenon, many users think about a telescope as their first astronomical instrument of choice.
excellent planetarium program for anyone looking for a laptop astronomy atlas.
i look at my computer screen then go out into my back yard and i can see the stars exactly as they are on my computer.
highly recommended for teaching children the realtionship between the earth and solar system and the greater universe.
the only reason i am giving this 3 stars instead of 1 star, is that i am familiar with previous versions of this program on previous computers, so i know it is potentially a wonderful program.
he absolutely loves it and we have spent every night since exploring the stars and moon.
the very night i gave it to them, they (actually, the dad) set it up and enjoyed looking at the moon with it.
this model can be used for viewing the moon and stars or distant earthbound items by changing the eyepiece.
we have seen the rings of saturn (although small) and the kids love the details of the craters on the moon.
i also bought them each a "star" (shining stars by russ) to name and they really get a kick out of looking at their very own stars!
jupiter's galilean moons show up as plain as day, the tracking and goto functions are intuitive and it's just a lot of fun!
the library of stars, planets, etc is astonomial, but at the same time rather difficult to use and try to get the scope aligned.
you really need to know nothing about which star is which to get the scope aligned and tracking star movement, and the hand-held control allows you to select stars, planets, and deep-sky objects by
some of the good, great low price for a decent size lens, for moon and planets and sun its great and the quality is also very good.
he is like a kid with a new toy, and he's still enjoying the moon, stars and the planets.
due to florida's terrible rainy days lately it was mostly cloudy yet i was able to see mars, saturn's rings, jupiter's moon and clouds, even behind a tinted glass!
saw jupiter with the four moons and it was spectacular.
i was very excited about viewing the planets and hopefully some deep sky objects.
the five stars represent my opinion about the scope.
if you store it with the optical tube assembly (ota) attached to the single fork-arm, then all you have to do is grab the ota/fork-arm assembly and the tripod, step outside, connect the tripod to the
i have been able to easily pick out individual stars in several messier catalog globular clusters, and can easily resolve the 4 stars of the trapezium in the orion nebula.
the reflex sight makes finding objects quick work, even fairly dim object such as the andromeda galaxy.
one of the easiest ways to align it to the night sky is using a the solar system align.
sky align worked well, though sometimes the scope seemed to become less accurate as the hours went buy, and i tried to re-align to different stars but eventually i encountered the same alignment
moon viewing has been great.
