i wish there was an electric focusing mechanism..when viewing at high power, you can lose the object when trying to focus pros: quality lenses, strong construction cons: shaky at high power best

i.e.: metal screw, much more stable stand, tight stable focus, easier lens covers, illuminated hand controller.

i wish the mount was a bit more stable.

you get the barlow scope, some filters and my son loves the "shakey flashlight" (what he calls it).

the 20mm eyepiece takes about 2-3 seconds to get steady enough to look at.

once you get the scope lined up with the object you are viewing, if you so much as touch the scope the image wobbles like crazy.

the tripod is not as stable as i would have liked, so there is a lot of movement in the image, but otherwise its been fun!

i found it steady enough once locked in, and it allows for very good fine-tuning on the vertical axis via a tuning screw, but making small adjustments horizontally is a nightmare because you have to

poor eyepieces, unstable stand, and loose finder scope mount.

to use, there were some screws that weren't tightened fully when the tube was assembled at the factory, and i needed to add some shim stock to the pivots points to reduce the wobble in the mount.

decent german eq mount, a little shaky when focusing, but quickly stabilizes.

once assembled it took about another 10 minutes to balance the scope on the mount.
