if you are serious about getting into astronomy consider spending at least 2 or 3 times the money on a better one but for the casual beginner this is a great scope.

it does not show you all the "promised" stars and plannets; it did not tell u that you have to take it out in the cold to see things; it is not very user friendly; it is not that easy to start using;
