he did say that any filters for the main aperture (the big end where light enters) of the c8 will not fit the 8i or 8se!

very light,zoom stickie,veiws with the lens it came with not so good, moon great but mars red orange and blurrrrie on the date mar's was the closes to earth.

the first thing to note is that this a 1000mm focal length telescope in a less-than-1000mm tube: it's really a catadioptric, so you're sacrificing some light for portability.
