The Tripod is so unstable as to make the scope frustrating to use, the motors used in the scope are cheap and break down with any type of regular use. The focuser is stiff to the point of knocking the scope out of alignment when trying to focus. The customer service at bushnell is terrible, they are less than concerned with their astronomy customers. overall this is a big expensive paperwieght. from Telescopes.com I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS SCOPE I RETURNED IT AND BOUGHT MEADE 150 % BETTER ALL AROUND.. THIS SCOPE Bushnell DID NOT FUNCTION CORRECT IT COMPUTER JUST WENT STRIGHT UP AND DOWN. A good starter Newtonian (same style as this scope) with an object locator (doesn't automatically move the telescope, though) is an Orion SkyQuest XT6.
