it is a little less wide than the 2008 (just a tad wider than the bug), and i walked with friends and their strollers today and we all fit perfectly on the sidewalk without bumping into each other.
the only downside one might have with it is it's a bit wide.
here are the key downsides: 1) wider than most.
we used to have the side by side double stroller and it was always so hard getting around in stores and tight spaces but this one is basically the same size of a single and so easy to maneuver around.
when opened, it is not much wider than any single stroller and is just slightly longer.
i recently purchased a double umbrella side-by-side, thinking it would solve my problems.
the toddler seat could be a little wider and should have a way to lock it into place.
after much searching, interviewing a friend about her collection of 4 different double strollers, and buying an expensive $500 side by side stroller (that is truely huge to put in the car and hard to
it is a solid, well-designed stroller that fits a wide variety of children.
it definitely is too wide for a standard doorway -- you have to take off at least one wheel to fit it into an office building or into your front door.
it is wide but it fits through most doors.
the only thing i can add to the previous reviews is that it is great for using in europe as the doorways on buses and shops are wider and easily accommodate the size.
first things first, i was very worried that it would not fit thru doorways being that it looks really wide and guess what...
my two year old doesn't like his single stroller anymore and would always want out of it, so i wanted to try a side by side because i thought he would enjoy sitting next to his new brother and i was
this baby jogger mini is a delight to those that need a double, side by side stroller that pushes like a dream, folds and opens real easy, sooo lightweight and yet comfortable for the children.
at 29" wide, it fits through my front door no problem.
if you have a wide child he or she will probably not be comfortable.
the bob is smaller in size, easily fitting through doorways, which is a plus when it comes to side by side double strollers.
at first my kids (2 and 1) didn't like it - they were used to the graco duoglider that has trays in front of each seat for their sippy cups, but now they think it's fun to sit side by side and go
also, i wish there was a wider range of recline.
so i feel qualified to rate this as i've had a bugaboo frog (cannot believe i got sucked into the hype), quinny buzz (huge/wide/34 lbs!), peg perego pliko (huge, nightmare to steer, and plasticy),
cons: basket under the seat is difficult to access/put stuff into, rear wheels are wider-set than i'm used to - for stability i assume - making narrow spaces a little challenging.
the canopy is great as it has a wide range of movement so i can keep the sun out of the little one's face no matter what angle it's coming from.
after comparing the 2 side by side, the joovy was too bulky (heavier -34 pounds), didnt like the rubber handle (tore easily) but most of all my son had a hard time sitting when the infant seat was in.
many of the cheaper ones or side by side ones would not have worked for my older son as he is already almost 40 pounds - which this one says is the limit for both seats.
our garage is full of all kinds...jogging, designer, umbrella, side by side-double and of course our all time fave...the sit & stand!
i have been looking at double strollers in the price range of $150+ (some a lot more), and they all seemed either really bulky (too long to maneuver or too wide), didn't have necessary amenities
we were tempted by less expensive ones, and stalled by the pros and cons we recognized in the widely-ranging features offered by each stroller.
a wider cabin that holds comfortably at least two children who are each fifty pounds would be a tremendous improvement.
i have a side by side stroller, but they are still too small to fit properly in that stroller yet.
it does take a little time to get used to wide turns around the ends of the aisles with this method, but it works, and that's what counts.
i have a side by side that we use for night time walks and i hate it.
i am changing the a side by side once the twins can sit up because i prefer having both babies in arms' reach.
ive had the side by side strollers and they come with many shortcomings like its almost impossible to shop with one being so wide.
by comparison there are many features i love about the bob, like the large canopy and storage baskets, shocks and wide seat.
for a stroller of this size/category, it is not too wide, so we can bring it into small shops and navigate tight aisles and turns easily.
the only thing i don't like about the stroller is that i wish is the seats were wider and taller to accomodate taller kids more comfortably.
the stroller is no wider than the bob revolution (the bob does have a better sun cover, but does not recline fully, something we really need for my daughter to nap when we are out).
i don't take it shopping because it is just too wide.
the back wheels are a little wide for indoor aisles and the sun shade could be a little longer.
it rides beautifully, but it is alot bigger, wider and bulkier than i expected.
we found the side by side was the ideal double stroller because our kids love looking at each other and we found it easier to steer.
i own the sit n' stand lx, but wanted a stroller where both my children could be sitting facing the same direction and side by side.
4)zooper twin side by side (not sure of the name)
for example, i would like a lighter, cheaper stroller, like the combi side by side, but it's not worth the trouble to steer it, the feeling it will soon fall apart, or the fact that we can't go
it is wide enough that my daughter will fit in it for years.
we are very glad we chose the sus deluxe due to the wide tires and great shocks.
