Best Storage Controllers for Ide

if you have an ide drive, either disc media or hard drive, and you don't have any ide ports on your motherboard, then this product is your answer.

i attached it to my older western digital ide hard drive, plugged it into the second sata slot on the motherboard, and poof, nothing.

i tried this to connect an ide western digital wd800jb drive to a dell dimension 9100.

i installed the card in less than five minutes on the back of my ide ata hard drive and used all the cables that came with it and bingo it converted it to a serial ata drive.

when my ide drive started giving me trouble, i could not readily find a large enough ide drive to replace it.

purchased the addonics sata/ide adaptor.

so i bought the addonics sata converter to put the 2tb hard drive on a regular ide port.

i purchased this card because i could not find a large capacity ide drive.

once it is spinning, plug in the ide connector end, then the usb end.

i have tested this device on three different computers with 4 different ide drives before i wrote this review.

i ended up buying the vantec ide to usb adapter, it works perfectly on the same configuration.

i had 2 ata ide drives from my old system that i wanted to add to my new computer.

i purchased this item for an acer computer that had limited ide controller, and wanted to add 3 additional hard drives.
