cons: this card is not a true hardware raid controller card.
pros: decent price for what it was supposed to be; easy to understand card and could see implementing several to create raid arrays on a server/high workstation cons: not been able to update
cons: this card is not compatible with windows server 2003 despite claims by highpoint that it is.
other thoughts: i will try a sata 3gb card based on silicon image next.
however, it can't do anything that a motherboard sata raid setup can't do, and as noted, the data format is proprietary, so you'll need another highpoint card or your data is inaccessible.
if it worked, i have no doubt that it would be a decent card.
cons: i chose this card for the price.
pros: none cons: most other raid controller cards that i've dealt with have been very easy to set up with no problems.
this card is the most dangerous raid controller i have ever seen, because until the day you need to recover from a potential hardware failure, you think it's doing what it's supposed to be doing.i've
i was originally sold highpoint rocketraid cards from a company that i buy my hard drives from.
pros: cheap card.
pros: no pros whatsoever, as any "pros" that the card maintains it may have is irrelevant since i have had two that were both defective in completely different, yet similar ways.
cons: i bought this card for a new build.
the price is extremely low when compared to cards with similar features.
cons: bad softwarehorrible customer serviceunresponsive technical supportthe card wont work.
review: i purchased this controller card with the intentions of creating a raid 5 array from four western digital wd6400aaks drives, and wasn't dissapointed.?
cons: do yourself a favor and either use software raid or a full hardware raid card.
cons: the option rom for the card bios can conflict with those of some mother boards.
pros: if you only want the card for a storage this is good enough, good speed cons: i have an asus m3a32-mvp deluxe/wifi-ap motherboard the first month i have the card with two hard drives 500
pros: don't know yet cons: this card cannot co-exist with another raid card or onboard raid controller.
pros: • cheap• currently the only esata card for the mac that supports both sata port multipliers (such as the silicon image sil3726cb chip) and does raid5• in all fairness, the card seemed to be
other thoughts: i purchased this card to work with a norco ds1220 enclosure.
