Best Shredders for Strip Cut

the "confetti cut" looks suspiciously like strip cuts, so i'm not sure what that's about, but for regular home use this is a great buy.

it mostly strip cuts and then crumbles the strips.

my other one is a small strip cut, that also works on cds.

the small confetti cut is a significant improvement over the diamond cut or strip cut shredders.

the strip cut is fine for most applications, but tends to fill up the 13 gallon basket faster.

for my purposes--shredding credit card offers, bank statements, and other documents with personal information--strip cuts are just fine.

however, strip-cutting is not a secure way to shred paper documents.

this is a strip-cut shredder, so rather than slicing and dicing your stuff into little bits and pieces, it simply cuts them into long, continuous strips.

unless you know someone is assembling your documents from your old strip cut shredder, stay away from these superfine shredders unless they have some sort of filtering system on them.

the cd and credit card shredder is a separate, strip-cut slot which can also devour thick pieces of unopened junk mail without missing a beat.

i put one credit card into this unit and it only strip cut it (versus confetti) and my account number was still readable.
