i think that it is a great shredder, but it doesn't do cd's which i knew going into it, and i think that the capacity could be slightly more.
sturdy,does good job,little expensive,does not cut cds completely,over all good
other thoughts: *don't make the mistake of trying to shred a cd!
good price for the shredder, i wished i would have upgraded a little and purchased one that would shred cd's.
the only thing it doesn't do is shred cds/dvds.
i wish, however, i had paid a bit more to get one that would shred cds.
if it only had a cd shredder built in, it would be exceptional.
this machine should not be used to shred electronic media like cds attempting to shred a cd is why i have a new shredder.dservice.

i've also found it will handle cds and dvds but that is more or less hit and miss, some cds/dvds it has no problem with, others it just can't handle, but i can live with that since it doesn't say
i read that a fellow reviewer has even managed to shred cds with his machine--that must be quite a show...the machine includes a reverse button if ever you feed it too much paper, and it jams.
the royal paper shredder 1280mx is the best paper shredder i ever had when i first got it i must have shreeded 6000 papers and it didn't jam once and the cd/credit card shredder works like a charm.
haven't tried it yet with a cd, but worked great on a credit card and great with paper.
this shredder even shreds cd's this is a nice feature.
i tried 1 cd but it auto reversed it back out.
this shredder so far has shredded 3 13-gallon trash bags worth of paper, some cd's, and some credit cards.
the cd/dvd shredder is a nice bonus.
additionally, the cd and credit card optinos make this a great machine for home use.

this unit is multi- purpose and is capable of shredding paper and other items, like cd's and credit cards.
it shreds lots of things rather well--many less expensive models simply cannot shred credit cards, cds and dvds.
i bought this shredder because i wanted a decent cross-cut shredder that i knew could easily shred any old cds/dvds that i didn't want anymore.
--unlike my old one this actually cut my cd's into 3 pieces rather than merely making a hundred indentions that was suppose to disable the cd (i never trusted that and ended up breaking them by hand)
