another great thing about this shredder is that, it's not that loud, so you can park yourself in front of the tv while shredding, without having to turn the volume up hardly at all.
and it is quiet!

my only gripe about it is that it's a bit loud, but it does shreds well so it's not a big deal.

when coming to shredding the credit cards, it doesn't shred them all the way, only in half.so if your sheddring plastic, be sure to check the bag & run them through again.a bit on the noisy side.

i plugged the new one in and put it to work immediately and seems quieter than the old one.
we replaced an ibm shredder with a much smaller basket and much louder.
