Best Shredders for User

i would recommend this shredder to home users, looking to shred their junk-mail (in envelope) along with their normal paperwork and media/cards.

i am a medium user, own a salon that has 5 employees, so it is not like i am a shredding monster all day long.

periodically the user should lubicate the shredder using lubricant available at any office store (manual also says non-aerosol vegetable oil will work too).

i did review a lot of user reports on amazon.com as well as several other sites and saw some of the knocks on this model, but decided that the good far outweighed the bad so i gave it a shot.

i use shredders for my home to destroy bank statements, receipts, etc - i am not really a heavy user.

this allows a user to keep the unit standby ready.

all in all and after shopping around i think this is a good price range for the serious home user.

my only complaint is emptying the container is a bit awkward: the user has to lift off the heavy shredder mechanism, empty the canister, and then snap the shredder back into place.

i would buy it again and would highly recommend it for day to day average user.

i haven't experienced any jams as reported by some other users.

the basket size is somehow small for frequent user and fill up quickly.

controls are simple and everything from combat to item management is extremely user friendly.

while i am not a "power user" i do often shred cds/dvds.
