i have shedded credit cards and dvb's and had no problems and using it for paper is even better i don't even have to open up my mail just put it in the slot and itsoff and going without any problems.

shredded about one 39 quart size plastic bag of unopened mail and papers, don't have to cut cds and credit cards anymore with scissors- this dows it all!

bought this just yesterday 11/13/07 and not that impressed with motor power.stuck in unopened junk mail (probably 6 sheets) and it really bogged it down.did cut it up but not that happy about it.
