the manual that comes with it says to use shredder oil, which i hadn't known when i bought it, so you might want to order that too.

i know the product manual says these shredders will do staples (i let one slip through accidentally) and credit cards, but i am a bit phoebic about dulling the blades so i try not to let any of those

lastly do not buy the oil for the shredder as you can just use vegetable oil as instructed in the user manual, so save yourself the money.

keep an eye on the volume in the waste basket because it fills up quickly, and when that happens, it clogs and stalls until you manually clear it or put it in reverse.

compared to other shredders i have b4 where i have to stop and manually take out crumpled up shredded paper, i just hit the reverse button and it cleans it completely.
