in one sitting of continuus use, i filled the entire wastecan (7 gallons or 4 filled plastic grocery bags), and it never even whimpered.
the pullout waste can makes it simple, fast, and clean to empty without having to lift the shredder mechanism off the top.
it has a convenient pull-out wastebasket, and it quietly shreds everything you feed it into confetti sized bits.
it does have a viewing window to be able to tell when the wastebasket is full.
the top of the machine is very heavy and awkward to place back on the wastebasket part of the shredder.
very happy with this shredder, works wonderfully, sits on the floor like a wastebasket off to the side and you don''t have to empty it all the time.
a shredder with a slide-out wastebasket.
it is very quiet, and the wastebasket in front is great for other trash as well.
love the design: the mesh can is not only sturdy and see-through to watch paper level, but the step-on edge easily allows it to be used as a waste basket without shredding.
it is quiet and the ease of emptying the shredded waste is superior!
i have shredded over five xerox boxes of paper since receiving my shredder a month ago (enough to fill six 30 gallon with compressed waste!).
the waste paper basket plastic door open sensor piece was broken.
the only disappointment was that the small bottle of lubricating oil which was included leaked onto the supply of waste bags that was also included.
it looks great, and the wastebasket is large and very easy to manage.
it shreds so thin, it saves you time, space, money, and reduces waste!

having had a lessor (un-named) shredder, i knew that my shredding needs were beyond the waste-paper-basket sized machines for less money.
other thoughts: you can extend the duty cycle with a box fan, take out the waste basket then put the fan up to it.
the only minor drawback is the challenge in changing the bag without having to vacuum out the shredded paper pieces in the slide-out wastebasket compartment.
additionally, the waste basket on this is very large.
i would have to agree - they found a loophole with our original shredder that allowed them to not replace - so, i wouldn't waste my money on the additional warranty.
the only problem i discovered is that there were some sharp edges inside the waste bin that would puncture the receptacle bag so i filed them off.
the large integrated waste basket slides out easily.
the waste basket slides into the body.
fellows have engineered this unit for the home/office area.this shredder chews plastic, staples(normal) and 12 sheets of paper without effort.a simple frontal pull-out bin is a breeze to empty and
this shredder is compact; it is about the same size as a medium size waste basket.
if the wastebasket that comes with the shredder is "too small" for your use, simply apply "common sense" by putting the shredder over a larger wastebasket!
it even has a pull-out attachment to place on a larger waste can if needed.
kitchen-size wastebasket works great.
ran great and i don't think it is as noisey as my other burned out unit''only thing is you have to dump the wastebasket more often..
i really like the ease of pulling out the waste basket and dumping it, nice design.
we love the slide-out removal of the basket, whichwas hard to find in a shredder this size as opposed to the ones you have to lift off the waste basket.
isn't too noisy, truly shreds into confetti-size pieces and has a nice size wastebasket that pulls out easily.
the removable bin is so much better than those other that sit on top of the waste bin.
the only complaint is the waste bin is attached to the door, and it is made out of cheap material, probably with slave labor.
they are slow, noisy, and create a mess when you have to empty the waste container.
the shreds are much smaller than the old ps80 and stack into the waste bin with much less air between particles.
the motor also stops if the waste basket is removed.
the recessed lid is great for checking the level of shredded paper, but the shredder unit is heavy and unwieldy when it comes time to empty the wastebasket.
after the first few uses the plastic shield inside the shredder which ostensibly guides the shredded paper into the wastecan fell off, but the functioning of the shredder doesn't seem to be affected.
my only complaint is, it is a little messy when you want to empty the waste bin.
it snaps onto the wastebasket and swivels up and down which is somewhat handy.
the waste basket that it comes with is also nice and large so i dont have to empty as often.
the only downfall i can see with this shredder is that when you empty the waste basket, you have to kind of play with it to get it to go back correctly.
the waste capacity is satisfactory for our office (we have to empty the basket about once per week).
what's great about it:?quality materials used, no jamming what's not so great:?hard to see waste amount "this is a great shredder for the price.
what's great about it:?it shreds things, removable waste basket/bin, sturdy design what's not so great:?wheels?
this product appears to be durable, and works easily for the low to moderate user..it appears more stable than the wastebasket type..
this has a lightweight removeable "waste" basket which makes the emptying easy.
i love the large wastebasket, it seems to take forever to fill it up!
it's a very solid design, easy to read display, pull out drawer for the waste, etc.
the wastebasket is large, easily removable, and designed to empty easily without spilling the shredded contents(as can happen with some cheaper shredders).
this replaces an over-the waste basket shredder which had constant problems.
it would take me a better part of half-an-hour or more (with dumping the waste basket at least once).
if you've ever used shredders that you removed from their waste baskets, sometime the shards made such a mess.
i had one of those over the wastebasket types before but those presented several problems:
a simple insertion of the 4 castor wheels, the included paper bin which hooks behind the unit (to hold future to-shred items), the 6-gallon waste bin, and finally the power cord.
i was pleasantly surprised to receive a small bottle of oil and several clear waste bags.
i am stepping up from a lightweight waste basket top unit.
wheels make it easy to move and the waste container comes out the front so easy.
safety - don't have to lift unit off wastebasket to empty.
i have been thru 5-6 baskests full, it reduces the amount of bulky waste i have to dispose of, protects my accounts, and works great!
dont waste your time buying this shredder unless you like shredding money!!!!!!
cons: care must be taken inserting unit onto the safety micro-switch activation wastebasket bracket.
however, the small, cheaply made limit switch was no longer part of the unit (it apparently got shredded!) and now i have a nice, $13 steel wastebasket, so i cannot complain.
