The Royal VF1012mx shredder is an attractively designed shredder -- with a slide-out wastebasket; three indicator lights for Ready, Overheat, and Overload; an Auto / Off / Reverse switch; and locking wheels for movement in tight spaces. The Overload light turns on when you've placed something too thick for the shredder to handle. from Amazon.com You cannot buy replacement parts for this item. It was made to break, so that you would have to purchase another one. I will NOT buy another Royal shredder as I have read this is not the only model that this happens to.
