Pros It performs as Fellowes advertised in that it shreds multiple sheets and credit cards into small cross-cut pieces. I just wish it actually worked for me. The first time my SB-89 arrived, the motor was defective, so it obviously wasn't able to shred anything. Thankfully, Amazon sent a replacement, which arrived shortly afterward. from Amazon.com The specs are accurate. Unit is surprisingly quiet. The SB-89Ci will gobble 15 sheets of typical 20# copy/printer bond or credit cards without any sign of strain. We ended up overloading it with outdated files and burned out the motor. Then, we discovered the Fellowes 3228901 by searching the net for a new one that would be heavier duty, quiet (the other one sounded like a lawnmower), and yet be unobtrusive as a piece of furniture, fitting neatly under one edge of a work table.
