I purchased a Fellows SB-99Ci shredder because I had alot of old documents from recently passed on loved ones and some of my own. This does not happen if you put paper on the metal strip. The SB-99Ci was a little bigger and heavier than I thought, but it is medium to heavy duty use and lives up to that.
