i also like the way the trimmer flips out so you can trim without the worry of the shaver cutting your hair at the same time.
the only issue i have is that the trimmer pops up at a 90 degree angle to the shaver handle and it is not as easy to use as the previous version.
having said that, it did take some time to get used to, especially the trimmer, which is located a bit awkwardly.
if i have to find fault anywhere it would be the trimmer; it is somewhat flimsy and awkward to use but it works.
also note that the 790cc model has an additional led that indicates hygiene level, a fast clean button on the base, and black trim.
the only reason i didn't give this product 5/5 stars was due to the functionality of the sideburns trimmer.
only issue i've seen is the trimmer is only held open by a spring unlike some other models, so sometimes it will try to fold back while using it.
the trimmer on the side is a little anemic.
the tap-rinse feature is great, and i did not expect to find a trimmer too (not advertised).
only 2 negatives: does not show a low battery state and the sideburn trimmer is small and feeble.
i purchased this product because i hate shaving and i was hoping this trimmer would give me a close enough "shave", it does.
i'm very pleased with with product and highly recommended as a very effective and affordable method for shaving and trimming.
when i say sharp i mean the sharpest trimmer i ever used, and with the tips it comes to help prevent razor bumps made me love these trimmers
the best way is to probably use the smallest size guard and trim your hair, if you don't mind a little stuble, it will most certaintly be the best way to stop any type of bump or skin irritation
i have fewer razor bumps than i ever had before with other trimmers.
all three does evenly in the bread part of the face with a long trimmer on the first wave and switching back to the main shaver for the softer cut.
the trimmer is the only real disappontment with this shaver.
this is the first dedicated electric razor i have purchased, outside of smaller trimmers, and i am very happy with it.
i always have stray hairs that i need to use the trimmer for and i don't have that problem with this shaver.
its very nice to be able to do a quick touch-up with this before going out at night to dinner or whatever and not have to pull out shave gel and all that mess.
the trimmer is horrible...very small and mounted awkwardly in relation to the head making it difficult to see what you are doing.
the trimmer is an obvious design flaw (although i still like having it.) it's in a weird position on the shaver and not as easy to use as it could be.
after using the norelco arcitec 1090 for 2 months i can say it gives me a closer shave than the braun, both in light touch-up and heavy-pressure use.
the trimmer is small but it meets my needs.
i can touch up every morning with it and keep my beard closely trimmed.
the trim feature is so-so.
the 7505 has many other advantages over the spectra -- it is cheaper, smaller, it has a better trimmer and its single cutter is more accurate (especially for side burns) than the spectra 3 head design
the trimmer is very nicely designed, with the cutting edge at a right angle to the shaver instead of straight like my older shaver.
the 7505 has an excellent trimmer that i would not do without.
the sideburn trimmer is a plus.
i had no idea that it also had a straight edge to trim sideburns as well.
this model is both better faster shaving and with precision trimmer.
just returned from europe for 13 days..charged before i left home and shaved every day and a few before dinner touch-ups.
$15 dollars is instead better spent on 3 bottles of the cleaning solution.i used to use a cheap trimmer to do any trimming with, but the trimmer on this is so much more precise than anything i've
closeness is excellent, the trimmer for sideburns is also great, however, shaving up close to the sideburn is not impressive.
review: i bought this trimmer to replace a larger trimmer from sharper image that i had been using for a couple of years.?
i have used many trimmers that last only a few months, yet this trimmer works fast, cuts 100% and i use it in the shower all the time!
great trimmer batteries last pretty long but changing to a rechargable type will become more economical.
i've tried many many nose trimmers, and i ended up with this one.
this is one for a trim without discomfort or nicks.
the trimmer is ok for evening sideburns and getting hair under your nose that the shaver can't reach but that's it.
the product feels good and solid in the hand, and sounds nothing like my norelco hair/nose trimmer.
the reason this little baby does not rate five stars is because it does nothing else: no trimmer for sideburns, no closeness adjustments, no attachments of adjustments of any kind.
it has a spring-released pop-up trimmer for moustache and sideburn trimming.
the quiet motor at first seems like its hardly working, but it efficiently trims my beard.
for my purposes, the trimmer does what i needed it for.
this trimmer cuts very close and is quite powerful.
a very functional trimmer.
a must have trimer...fits n the palm of ur hand
the oster t-finisher is a professional hair trimmer, the same one used by many barbers and hair stylists.
the best thing about it compared to waxing is that you can do touch ups whenever you need too, without spending hundreds of dollars a month.
as well, there is an image in the product description which refers to the "trimmer".
also, it is so much faster to do a touch-up whenever necessary than with wax or a razor.
also, the shaver head is handy to trim bikini hair, and to shave areas you're not quite ready to try the epilator on.
the trimming/shaving head also does a good job and switching between the two heads is effortless.
it is a trimmer (not a shaver), but it is very neat and easy to use and maintain.
it is perfect trimmer but remember its not shaving razor :)
totally love this trimmer and it really cuts down on shaving time.
i think it's especially useful when you also have the remington precision trimmer for the smallest details.
i use it mainly for touch ups between waxings, though the different length options make it feasible to use for almost any type of hair trimming.
the only down side to this shaver (imho) is that the trimmer forces me to put my hand in an awkward position to use it.
until it is broken in which takes a few weeks, i use my previoius panasonic for certain trim areas.
the narrow trimmer seems silly, not sure why they didn't make it a bit wider, though it isn't a problem for me.
trimmer in back is small, and i'd prefer it to be in front, but it's sharp and works very well keeping my sideburns in check.
this razor when it was new was fast and did not require a touch up with a razor.
have wanted this product for a while now but when i went to get it they were out and i ended up getting a vidal sasoon trimmer.
foil is flanked on each side with trimmers to get longer hairs in line.not the most durable product, but at $40 i can get a new one every year.
i've used this product, and it works great as a trimmer (haven't tried it as a shaver).
also, i think this product, though it potentially trims everything should be used in combination with other items.
it's nice to know that when you want to do some trimming in the nether regions there is a product like this.
sideburns area - with the rotaries i could kind of push the hair i wanted to keep aside with the shaver as i cut the stubble, but since the foil is so tall it starts to trim back the sideburn hair.
i bought this because reports stated it was the preferred shaver by both men and women, and the only real difference in shavers is the color and sideburn trimmer.
it gives a nice close shave and the pop up trimmer takes care of those hairs that like to lay flat on against your skin.
i wanted a basic, nothing fancy, twin bladed shaver with trimmer and that's what i got.
however it does miss occasional hairs but they're unnoticeable and can quickly be remedied with the trimmer.
if you have a beard, this is the greatest, cleanest, easiest trimmer in history.
i wanted a trimmer with a vacuum feature for my goatee because i was tired of getting hairs all over the sink and clogging up the drain.
this is one of the best beard trimmers there is.
i purchased this about a year ago so i could reach anywhere on my back without having to break my arms while trying to use a conventional trimmer.
i purchased both the phillip's norelco groomer and the vidal sassoon back hair trimmer.
impressions: the design is comfortable in the hand, it's well made, and fairly trim and compact.
the trimmer is also a step above the braun trimmer for it sticks out away from the razor instead of along side it where you may be trimming your moustache or sideburns and end up shaving your
about 5 years ago, i finally tried the electric route and have used a norelco quadra 7 and gillette fusion interchangeably depending on the situation (about 90% electric and razor for touch ups).
gives a very close shave and the trimmer is great for touching up haircut.
first off, i don't own this panasonic es8228s model, i own the 8109s, but the only substantive difference is that the 8109s is slightly cheaper, is black-and-chrome and does not have wood trim.
the lack of a trimmer or a container to keep the shavings in one place prevents it from being an all around utility shaver.
only downside i find is that it does not have a sideburn trimmer.
i would like to see norelco offer a wet-dry razor with a built-in sideburn trimmer instead.
i would like to have had a trimmer, however.
the lack of a trimmer on this model and the manual pumping might be annoying but that's about it.
the trimmer is on the back of the shaver and although it could be a bit wider it works very well.
it even has a popup sideburn trimmer on the shaver itself!
my biggest complaint about this product is the long hair trimmer.
this shaver is a great back-up, does a very close shave, has a trimmer for sideburns and neck, and works great both wet and dry.
the bad: unlike past models that actually had functional trimmers, the pop-up trimmer on this model, to put it bluntly, sucks.
the shaver has a pop-up trimmer so it is much easier to use compared to the pop-out trimmers.
the shaver also has a popup trimmer.
it works well as a travel shaver, and cuts through almost any length hair with the trim.
the shaver itself is quieter than the other models in braun's lineup only because the long hair trimmer doesn't work until engaged and the synchro four directional head creates less resistance,
i rarely have to use the long hair trimmer, this thing takes care of it all.
