i purchased this shaver because i have sensitive skin that is prone to ingrown hairs and i have thick coarse facial hair.
i have pretty bad in grown hairs on my neck and after your skin is used to an electric razor it does fine.
there are no comfort settings, but i did not need any, it was a good shave and not so close that i got ingrown hairs on my face.
i have tried many types of facial hair removal, but i cannot get rid of ingrown hairs without sacrificing a close shave.

i usually get awful razor burn (red bumps and ingrown hairs) and this doesn't give me any of that, which is why i highly recommend it.
