it is a great little shaver to use on the go.
i bought this shaver several months ago and have used it on trips of 2 days to one week.
i did not want to bring my $100 big heavy recent make panasonic wet/dry shaver with accessory charger and cord when i made trips so i was researching all kinds of alternatives including disposable
a fresh set of batteries will last through a week long vacation but it is wise to keep an extra set.
this little battery powered shaver is great for road trips when you're going to be away from power cords for a while.
i don't think it is necessary: i store the shaver in the cleaning base when at home, and in the travel case when traveling, and don't feel the need to have a plastic clip for the head.
there are many reviews of this product already, but few mention use on the road.
it works really great on all my camping trips since it never leaves my truck (who shaves on a camping trip?) but it does keeps my wife's hope up...
i took it on vacation for a week and just rinsed it -- it worked fine throughout, though the "hygiene" indicator dipped low.
it's the first electric razor i've used which doesn't get hot after a couple minutes of use.hot razor means sweaty face which trips up razor and adds to pinching.
it looks pretty silly to be traveling with a $150 shaver and have the cap held on by a rubber band!
i especially like that it indicates how much charge is remaining which is very nice if you are traveling without the charger.
if you want a great razor i would look no further and jump on this puppy also while you are at it you might want to pickup a set of the hq9 replacement heads so that down the road when the razor
and it comes with a semi-rigid case that looks great for carrying it while traveling, though it doesn't hold the power adapter.
i decided to try an electric razor again, given the fact your considered a terrorist if you have shaving cream cans in your luggage while traveling, the electric razor seemed like a viable solution.
also great for traveling, it's small and you can take it anywhere.
i would only keep my legs shaved every week, and 3 or 4 times a year i would get it all, unless i was on vacation somewhere, then it was 3 or 4 times a week.
it is great for traveling!
i even take it with me on my trips.
this is a 2nd unit for traveling.
i went back to shaving and just gave up thinking this was something i'd just make part of my daily routing on vacations, at home, etc.
middle of the road price forwonderful product.
he leaves it in the car for on the go grooming and the battery lasts so long!
i purchased this as a secondary shaver so he could keep it at our vacation home.
combined, you're left wondering when you'll have to charge the shaver, or when you're off on that business trip, if you'll need to bring the charger.
i note that a "leading consumer mag" gave it a good middle of the road rating in this month's issue.
this is the third ultra thin travel shaver i have purchased...i keep one in my travel bag and at home and vacation place.
after owning this for awhile, i find that i still take my bigger shaver on the road (and i'm a frequent traveler).
this is exactly what i was looking for--something really small and light and which actually works, to take on short trips or remove the 5 o'clock shadow.
so if you, like me, have a beard you want to maintain, this shaver really won't help too much with that - any hairs longer than a few days growth are pretty much uncuttable, but that's normal with
the stubble catcher allows you to use the 8240xl on the go (in a taxi cab, on the road, or in the office), and the built-in spring-action trimmer makes it easy to trim your sideburns.
wish the charger fit in case for travel but not even needed for short trips since it holds charge so long.
although i think i prefer blade i could easily see this as a backup -- while traveling or at the office on days when you're running too late to shave at home.
i last used an electric in the early 70s when i was traveling a lot.
now with all the rules and regulations for airline flights, an electric razor will prevent some of the headaches while traveling.
i usually take it without the charger to trips and has worked great for me during the trip (usually week long trips).
the cleaning cycle is nice and the fact that you can clean it with hand soap and tap water is great -- particularly if you're traveling.
we'll see how this thing survives a vacation and the length of time for my whiskers to grow back, and maybe i'll give it a 5th star.
so far i count on the battery to make it through trips.
not only can you rinse the head off underwater at home or on the road, but you can shave in the shower or use shaving creams or lotions (gels are not recommended).
it's compact, so you can easily take it traveling or drop it in your cosmetics drawer in the bathroom.
definitely going to bring it to my future trips!
i'm going on vacation soon and this will be great to take along.
it is light, gentle on your skin, easy to handle, fits in the palm of your hand, does the kind of job that every woman desires, packs easily for your traveling moments.
and if you're on the road, you can still clean it manually with the included brush, and refresh the battery by plugging the charging cord into the bottom of the shaver.
the cleaning mechanism is also nice, although i have not used it for traveling.
i rarely have to clean it with the brush, but it comes in handy when traveling.
took it on vacation for a week and cleaned it out manually and it did well also.
supplied travel box serves its purpose well when traveling.
i plan on buying a second one for my vacation home, i like it that much.
comes with a good travel case although it does not fit the cord which is needed to charge when on the road.
the prior braun's i've had were middle of the road models and both worked fairly well.
the cleaning station is probably too bulky to take on the road but unless you travel for more than 2 weeks, the razor really doesn't get "dirty" enough to require any cleaning.
got the reconditioned as i use a normal razor during the week and the electric for convenience on weekends and traveling.
this provides a great shave, is easy to clean, and the batteries last 2-3 weeks on the road.
my only complaint is that it's a little heavy, which gives it a sure feel in the hand but makes it a little less appealing to pack for long trips involving lots of pack-lugging.
but keeping the shaving head dry actually makes it easier to keep clean, and keeps it smelling clean.i just returned from a week long vacation and the battery lasted the entire week without charging.
i took it on vacation for 10 days and didn't need the cord.
and don't think of bringing it with you when traveling!
it also comes with a carrying bag which comes in handy while traveling.
i bought this shaver about four years ago when my panasonic es883 had a performance issue on a business trip.
with out recharging ( great for traveling ) if you have not much success with electric shavers in the past, give the es3041k a try.
i bought the previous model of this razor about 5 years ago while on a business trip.
it comes with a built-in timer and traveling case, which aren't critical but are certainly appreciated, and it doesn't come with an expensive cleaning station which is actually a feature imho.
i bought this panasonic model for traveling, and it hasn't disappointed me.
blades give me the closest shave (i don't have a heavy beard) but there are times when i am in a hurry or when traveling that i like the convenience of an electric.
great for traveling light!
i often go on vacation for a week or more and do not bring the charger!
they where all easy to break, especially when traveling.
the real test will come down the road.
you can clean this razor with just soap and water it f like, so if you are on a business trip, you don't need to worry about the charging/cleaning unit.
this is great when going on short trips out of town.
although i used the automatic cleaning unit exclusively from the time i bought the shaver in march, when i went on vacation in september it was time to switch to a "manual" cleaning mode.
they also include an alternative method to clean -- using liquid soap and water; this would be convenient when on the road, so you don't have to lug around the cleaning base!
i will also use the razor when traveling since this is simpler for me.
i left the b**un shaver on a business trip and had to get a another one.
i bought another one because i liked it so much and wanted one as a backup in case it malfunctions down the road and because it's cheaper to buy a refurb than to replace the cutter blades and outer
shaving in the shower is easy and since i use soap, i don't worry about traveling with shaving lotion anymore.
compact, lightweight, uses replaceable inexpensive batteries, fine for quick shaves when traveling.
excellent shave at home or on the road!
its so small that can fit in your pocket, very usefull for vacations or in the care
