self threading was good.

also, if your thread is a heavier thread the self threading cartridge won't work, but the heavy threads can still be used, just not with that feature.

i still have not figured out how to use the self-threading function.

it has needle up, needle down, self threading, a nice 1/4 inch stitch, walking foot, free motion foot and more.

it is not the most expensive one you can buy, but it definately has most of the features of the high end sergers (well it isn't self-threading) and works smoothly and easily.
