Best Mechanical Sewing Machines for My Daughter

very good beginner machine and it's durable.

it is clearly not designed for heavy duty work, but i am only interested is doing small jobs so it's perfect for me.

it is sturdy and i love it!

it's obvious it's for first-time users, but it's still durable and works great.

this was my christmas gift, so i haven't had a chance to do more than check it out and i can't comment on durability.

other than that it is easy to use and seems fairly durable and user friendly.

i have three brother machine's including the embroidery/sewing machine and love their affordability, durability and ease of use.

threading a serger is and will always be a more complex process than threading a sewing machine.

like the other users said, this machine is not cheaply made at all, it is very sturdy and pretty heavy for such a little thing.

i tried it out first and absolutely love it as a durable, easy to use, quiet, smooth-running machine.

(my old brothers made a racket.) it is well made by janome, a huge name in sewing machines, and is a grab at this price!

it's portable, being a 1/2 size; it's surprisingly sturdy and well-made and quiet, typical janome (also sold without the hello kitty design as the janome sew mini); the instructions are very clear;

...this machine seems to be sturdy and includes a lot of extras that are worthwhile.

the durability rating i gave using my best guess -the plastic is light and i think if it used for simple projects it will hold up just fine for the time being -at least long enough for her to grow

about 'durability', time will tell.

i will not recomend it though for making of clothes or heavy duty jobs, but it perfect for kids or just little repair works.

i only use this machine for basic serging, i also own a 14t967dc for more complex work.

as another reviewer suggested i would list this as on the "heavy duty" side for sergers.
