Best Mechanical Sewing Machines for Automatic

i am new to sewing and wanted to start out with a machine that was not to complex.

--lots of utility and decorative stitches for the price

unless you intend to do heavy duty sewing this machine is perfect.

while i have not had time to play with the decorative stitches much, i did use a couple of them and found it very easy to switch from one to another.

i bought this in february and have made some not-too-complex projects with it just fine.

feels a bit flimsy by sews through 4 layers at a time.

i love the decorative stitches it allows you to make.

its easy to thread, easy to operate, the bobbin is sturdy and functions well.

it's a pretty sturdy machine, has a good weight to it, and works like a dream!

for simple straightforward sewing tasks i recommend it highly but if your sewing is complex or fancy i would say that going a few steps up in the price and staying with singer or perhaps pfaff..

it is very sturdy and stitched great right out of the box.

i also like to make reversible fleece jackets and this machine is so fast and durable that i finished a jacket in less than two hours, zipper included.

i have finally found the machine with the "old time" standards of durability!

i sew for the public and have needed a heavy duty professional machine.

i ordered the singer heavy duty on wednesday and received it friday.
