it is very easy and fun to use but some parts seem a little cheaply made (i.e., the needle threader) but for the price it seems a good machine.
although the machine is very light and easy to carry, it doesn't feel or look cheaply made.
when i lifted the box and took out what seemed to be very light flimsy machine i thought to myself here we go....until i set it up and started to use it.
the decorative stitches are fun, but it did take a bit of time to tweak my sewing style to the computerized system.
it's a little flimsy but does the job even though i have to fiddle with it a bit to get the arm to wrap around the needle.
not heavy duty enough.
i am a beginning sewer, but can already tell that this is a heavy-duty machine that will do many great things- there are lots of features i love about it, and the computerized functions and stitch
it has plenty of functions--utility & decorative stitches & 4 built-in buttonholes--and comes with lots of accessories, including special presser feet.
i was accustomed to an old heavy duty singer.
i think it was worth the price i paid, but glad i've kept my sturdy old white machine too.
the machine seems very durable and so far has lasted for the month.
i have used them to decorate clothing for my granddaughter.
my only complaint, is that the zig-zag and decorative stitches seem to work only 80% of the time, sometimes the machine will "forget" what it was supposed to do, and will sew a few straight stitches
pros: lightweight, easy threading, sews on buttons, automatic 1-step buttonholer, decorative stitches, quick change feet cons: may be best on lightweight fabrics, sometimes bundles bottom thread.
this machine looks just as well made although it is reconditioned.
on the downside, it has a lot of plastic parts which may not be durable.
i gave durability a five even thoung it's only been only six months.
it does a beautiful job.on the downside, it has a lot of plastic parts which may not be durable.
the only down side is that the machine seems very fragile (however, that may not be exclusive or a negative to this machine...
it is very light to carry and very portable but sturdy.i would recommend it.
the only thing is if you do a lot of heavy duty sewing, then this machine may have trouble going through thicker fabrics.
it pulls material well once the tension is set appropriately, including my husband's heavy duty double reinforced jeans.
i previously had a brother machine that finally bit the dust after 26 years so i am hoping for comparable longevity.
this is so cheaply made and not at all user-friendly.
she is only 12 years old and it is a good buy and sturdy looking as a first machine.
unless you intend to do heavy duty sewing this machine is perfect.
while i have not had time to play with the decorative stitches much, i did use a couple of them and found it very easy to switch from one to another.
i bought this in february and have made some not-too-complex projects with it just fine.
feels a bit flimsy by sews through 4 layers at a time.
i was skeptical of the brand, but the machine is good and sturdy.
i sew for a designer and i do a lot of heavy duty projects and i've been able to get back to work sewing for her again with this machine.
and when my fancy computerized machine needs to go to the shop (which is inevitable) i'll have this sturdy euro pro in the meantime.
i like the heaviness, the all metal construction that feels sturdy and durable.
but a quilting table too which makes it well worth the price, but the stitch selector is temperamental, turned dial to get decorative stitches but then it would not go back to basic stitching, on
