what's great about it:?good first attempt at a new product what's not so great:?broad appeal not designed for power users "to address the previous reviewer's concerns, this product is not designed
i used the server recovery disc and it worked flawlessly.
i was shocked and said that it is impossible to rely on this product then as my backup system and that is a major feature of the server.
for pcs, it has worked flawlessly as an image backup server.
it came from their warehouse returns i believe and although the box was damaged, the server was perfect.
surprised a windows product can be this good.
this is the best new microsoft product i have seen in some time and hp's hardware is superb with plenty of room for expansion (and you can upgrade the ram without voiding the warranty).
what's great about it:?home-made media backs up fine.
when it's their time to be backed up.i have no complaints about the smartmedia and with the additional ram and other features they packed into their 2nd generation machine, it works better than ever.
there are a lot of features on this server that we haven't even gotten to yet - but so far it's been great to store our photos and videos in one place.
i had 2 120gb sata drives laying around from old computers; i immediately added those drives to the home server and it worked flawlessly.
a simple to use home server with good features for back-up, file sharing, file storage and media networking.
i use the remote access feature more than i thought i would but have not yet worked with the media sharing tools.fantastic 'set it and forget it' product!
it wasa little bit of a pain in the butt to setup with the router (i am good with computers) but i really like being able to access files from home.
the home server is perfect for small business.
sinceit will restore any computer back to the last backup it has, it's perfect for home use, especially if you run a home-based business.
i have it for a few weeks and it is very good.
the only issue i had was that when i first installed it on the network, it worked fine, however whenever i re-booted a pc, it would need to be re-installed again.
i feel it is a good product from a reputable company for a good price.
the product does what it says- good, fast storage on my home network, but it's not as easy to set up as one would like.
it comes with software to help find and configure the drive which is simple enough to use, that it's good for novices and those not familiar with networking.
have been using the nas for a month now and has been perfect.
it's not perfect, but this server is just for storing backups of other servers and sql databases.
you can't put together a 1u server yourself that fits this good.
this system has excellent quality and ships with everything you would need in a barebone intro level server.
cons: we purcahsed this to use as a low grade high-cap storage box.
pros: great value, full featured server cons: not free other thoughts: same "sean" here as before.
coulter is in good form with this novel, i read it very quickly.
throw in a few more characters, a bit of an fbi plot, some mystery and "who done it" intrigue and you have a great story that is fun and exciting to read.
predictable story line and part of the classic fbi series - i enjoyed very much as a summer read.
savich and sherlock are great characters, but their story has been told.
this was a very good book, part of the fbi series.
as long as it turns on when i hit the power button, it's all good!
cons: on top of all that, there is no good manuals available that explain the system codes.
pros: good and stable mb.
pros: feature rich motherboard with integrated video and sata raid cons: !!!
pros: great board - using it with xeon 5130's like the last guy (by the way, the screw holes align perfectly - don't try making your own server if you can't even get the processor to fit in the
