I read a few fbdimm documents. From what I gathered, it doesn't seem to matter if memory is x4 or x8, and dual rank is fine. My four Kingston 667 memory modules run at 3,825 MB/s (tested with older Sandra version) in four channels. Going to two or more dimms per channel is supposed to increase the memory bandwidth (I think). from Newegg.com Pros: Stable so far. Runs latest CPU's. SAS controller & hot swap bays take SATA disks.
