This card works great. It was inexpensive (and along with the Zonet rebate - it was even better!). I would recommend it to anyone who needs firewire support for their laptop. from Mwave.com After a bad experience with a Syba card, I opted for the Zonet since I've had a good experience with some of their other products. It works perfectly. from Buy.com The product did not work. I re-installed the product a few times with the same results. Finally I called the Zonet customer service, waited on hold for 15 minutes and ultimately was directed to a voice mail where I left a message as instructed. I received no call back. from Amazon.com Pros: I wanted to capture and edit video on my AMD64 3000+ based notebook that has only 1 firewire port. I hooked up my DV camera to the native notebook port and an external 7200rpm hard drive to this Zonet card.
