Pros: ease of use Cons: poor reliability We purchased a Canon 8400F scanner for our home office. We scan documents, pages, pictures and to copy to the printer. from Yahoo.com A recently bought CanoScan 8400F. When scanning in any of the color modes a yellow stripe develops along the right side of the scan. from Amazon.com I have had this scanner for 1.5 years (warranty is one year). The HPs do okay, but the software seems to take a lot of steps in reviewing the image, approving, ets. This Canon scanner has never given any trouble either with the unit itself or the software.
