What's great about it:?Rewind live radio, big screen, easy to use! "I had the Sportster professionally installed in my vehicle the reception is remarkable. One of the best purchases for my vehicle.
What's great about it:?Very Pretty! What's not so great:?nothing "I purchased a second car and wanted to have Sirius in both cars. I wanted this one because of all the features it has, and the remote.
What's great about it:?display What's not so great:?weak transmitter "do not buy this product unless you plan to hard wire it to your car's antenna. the fm transmitter is so weak it doesn even transmit to the car's stereo. i decided to return the item and purchased a starmate 5, which works fine.
This is my 4th Sirius radio, and first Sportster 5. I like the ease of use and the easy tuning capability.
What's great about it:?Portable, easy to use What's not so great:?Could come with FM-Relay or AUX-in for my Factory Car Radio for better Digital sound "Works, just like it says, I ran the Sirius XM Antenna and placed it in the center of my 98 Ford Ranger Truck, plugged-in the cig-lighter adapter, the FM-Relay ( had to buy that separate as it didn't come with one) and I hear sound on the test channel 48, called to activate, it took about 5 to 10 min. I was surfing and setting up channels in no time, but, it didn't really sound, as good as I wanted, and I hated finding a open FM-Freq, so I bought an after market AUX-in unit that connected to the back of my Ford factory radio, making my CD-button the AUX-in, the sound was an improvement over the FM-Relay, this radio is Great, and I'll never go back or look back on FM-radio again, this sounds as good as HD-radio, HELLO digital sound and goodby to analog FM radio for ever!
I am a Sirius liftime subscriber since 2003. I updated from my original Kenwood PNP to the Sporster 5.
ONLY PROBLEM WAS ACTIVATING THE ACCOUNT, CALLED 2 TIMES TO GET IT UP AND RUNNING--POSSIBLE NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. RADIO IS GREAT IN EVERYWAY. I RECOMMEND THIS RADIO AND THE OTHER SIRIUS RADIOS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE XM RADIOS ---PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
What's great about it:?Easy use, wonderful color screen What's not so great:?FM transmitter, cost "Ok so everyone knows that since the FCC regulated the signal that the satellite radio companies were using for the built in wireless FM transmitter in all new radios are horrible, thus, the need for the FM DIRECT ADAPTER which wires directly into the vehicles antenna. With the adapter installed I still found myself constantly changing FM stations with this reciever. Perhaps the radio I recieved had an issue, but after speaking with Sirius for 45 minutes they admitted that they have had alot of returns of this particular model for that very reason and suggested that I get a Stratus or Starmate. I was going to try another sportster 5 but the store that I was at did not have anymore and the little doggie is an addiction for me so I went with the starmate 5.
I found Spotster 5 easy to install. Learning to use the remote made finding the stations to listen to easier then using the radio itself.
What's great about it:?Easy to use, color display What's not so great:?Nothing "This is my first experience with Satellite Radio and I really love the Sportster 5. I had it installed by the Best Buy Geek Squad and they did a great job.
