I had high expectations and so far I'm satisfied but slightly underwhelmed given the glowing reviews by others. (This is no fault of the product -- it does perform as advertised by Audiovox.) I'm listening through a Pioneer XMp3. The sound quality is good -- as in noticeably better than a cheap set of computer speakers -- but not amazing. from Amazon.com The product works as advertised; however, I would not have purchased this particular boom box had I known that I would have had to track down, then order an adapter, which was not included. It was hard enough to try to figure out which adapter I needed for my device, but the kick in the teeth was having to order and pay shipping on another accessory. I really only expected just so-so sound from this unit. I have a "wave" radio and the XMAS100 must have similar technology because it sounds really close to the "wave".
