Best Routers for HP

from my hp notebook with 4965agn network card, i'm seeing actual transfer rate up to 140mbps at 5ghz band, which is about 3 1/2 times the speed i was getting from my old dir-655 router at 2.4ghz.

i use comcast and a one year hold portable dell or hp with vista, both are clean of viruses and adwares.

i connected a hub and an epson printer, an hp scanner and a pny flash drive.

we use a toshiba, a hp, and an acer laptops.

speed for my hp laptop with built in n wireless is at least 15% greater at identical range, as compared to the pre-n router, and perhaps more, as i was near maxing out my cable connection.

from the time i powered it on, or any time i make a change or reset it, it does not connect to the internet, but my lan connectivity to my wireless printer or hp mediasmart server works just fine.

my home has 3 floors, with a macbook pro, 1 wired hp printer, 2 wired desktops, 1 wireless desktop, an iphone, a wii, a tivo and a ds looking to connect to the internet via my comcast cable.

it took him about fifteen minutes and i swear, not a swear word out of him and now my spanking new hp (also set up by hubby dub), runs a treat.

the software for the linksys would only install on xp and vista os, so i had to abandon installation on my hp proliant server, which runs windows server 2003.

the router is being used with a cable broadband modem, and is used by a desktop(wired) and an hp laptop(wireless).

i even got my hp printer which has 802.11g to connect to it seamlessly using wpa2 security.

i used it with a newer hp laptop with a draft-n card, and even though it shows 250mbps connection speed, it doesn't perform as fast as my linksys wrt54g when transferring files.

pros: works great with my dell, hp, mac book pro, ps3, and now xbox 360.
