Best Routers for Day

using the combo was a hassle and required resetting the equipment at least once per day due to frequent loss of internet.

"i bought the actiontec modem after days of combing through reviews both good and bad on various other products to replace my ailing 2wire 1000sw box.

it's great that the modem can be turned off with a simple on/off switch as opposed to my old westell which i had to plug in and unplug every day.

and i had 30 days to return it, so why not!

i received it in just two days, took it out of the box, and went through the setup program.

i was at target one day and looked at what they had and had a choice between this and a much more expensive linksys.

then, the other day it just wouldn't connect.

i replaced it with this model and the difference was like night and day!

a linksys wrt 160n first and had many problems with it, with no luck i called customer support and was on the phone with them 3 times over 2 days and over 2 hours of checking settings and so on.

what's not so great:?none so far "i bought this router the day after black-friday for only $49.99 a really good price for a wireless n router with so many features.

can read and move your hands, you can do it, but netgear has taken the trouble of taping over the connectors with a warning label for those who are feeling too frisky to follow instructions that day.

i believe that he router works well so far, i've had it for a few days now.

other thoughts: only have had it one day...

first router has worked flawlessly for three years, the second was trouble from the start (replaced by newegg after a few days).

suddenly one day the router dropped both wireless and wired connections.

cons: doesnt print money ;) other thoughts: ive only had this for a day and i hope this review is no premature, but i was very pleased with the very quick flawless setup and the test i performed
