Best Wireless Routers for Vista

other router/dsl modem (zoom) didn't make it out of the office .

i plugged in the router, attached a wired desktop and have a wireless laptop.

i have only had my wrt320n router for a month, but it works great and has very fast ethernet and wifi connections.

for kicks i made the router wireless n only and plugged in my older wireless g to an open port, gave it a new ip and it works on the network without a hitch.

installing wireless network printer was a headache but finally got it to work.

other thoughts: i didn't notice until after i ordered this router that you have to manually choose the wireless band you want your devices to use.

so i purchased this router.i have it set up next to an old imac via ethernet cable, and the other 3 laptops in the house are connected to the lan wirelessly via their airport cards.

i decided to upgrade my router because i wanted to hook up my blu-ray player wirelessly for bd live.

this is still a good unit, and it's definitely more attractive.

much better range than the belkin n1 wireless router it replaced.

setup was pretty complicated at first since it was my first time setting up and dealing with a wireless router.

this replaces an older netgear wireless router at my house.

i was able to run my credit card machine off of it using the physical wired connection, and my laptop off of the wireless connection.

i stuck my aircard in their usb provided, plug it up, connect the ethernet to the one of four provided, and my security system was connected as well as my "wifi" was up and running.

it seemed to happen most when more than one pc was connected via wireless.
