I bought this router to replace kinda buggy Linksys RangePlus-n Wireless Router WRT110 (WRT110 was freezing when I connected several devices into it) and I have to say this was an excellent choice. The router is easy to setup, has overall more features than WRT110, has very strong signal (much stronger than WRT110 - places where my iPhone did not detect WRT110, Zyxel had full strong signal) and power adapter is from 110V-250V which means that works in both US and with $4 adapter in Europe as well (this is probably features not many people need, but I did on my long trip to Europe). from Amazon.com Apparently, since people have been writing negative reviews about the X550N, without actually owning one, I am then qualified to leave a review, even if I dont own this model. I just have to point out that I have owned Zyxel routers for years and their customer service is very responsive, helpful and professional. from Amazon.com Pros: This is an excellent wireless router with many useful features. It supports the usual security mechanisms including WPA/WPA2 and WPS. from Newegg.com I had x-550 MIMO for a couple of years and it is still working. I decided to upgrade to a new router because I had some issues with multiple computers and I'm getting a NAT and 550N has better features for it. from Amazon.com Pros: Absolutely none, DOA / nothing personal, Newegg excellent to deal with as usual.
