Pros: Reliable, high quality product. The web interface is decent and I didn't have any trouble setting the security to WPA2-PSK [AES]. I have every LAN port in use plus several wireless laptops without any trouble. This was an upgrade of an older Netgear router and it helped solve my bottleneck. from Newegg.com I just used the CD and followed the instructions. A wired connection is needed for set up. I have 3 laptops, a Roku box and a printer connected wirelessly at 270 Mpbs, using D-Link's DWA-130 and DWA-160 Wireless N USB Adapters on my Acer and Dell laptops. It's very reliable 98% of the time. from Newegg.com I like Netgear... or used to. from Amazon.com I bought this router to act as a second router (behind my cable facing router) and so wanted to set it up as a wireless access point ( a router behind another router has issues) . The documentation that came with the router was first rate. from Amazon.com I cannot talk in high tech terms about the router. My brother-in-law is quite knowledgable about computers and suggested some guidelines for buying one without suggesting this router in particular. The NETGEAR WNR2000 met all those criteria, offering a very high level of security. I may have been fortunate but my cable service provider was very willing to work with me on the phone while I hooked the router up. from Amazon.com Pros: Stylish, space saving, great brand name.. Cons: Had to RMA, problem occurred again with constant signal drop outs, I never had a single problem like this with my WGR614 NETGEAR router.. I'll be receiving the WNR3500 Gigabit N Router instead, and from the reviews I don't believe I'll have a problem. from Newegg.com After a decade of orders from Amazon this was the first item I returned. It was a nightmare. I could not get it to connect with my computer and spent over six hours with Netgear customer service (a term I use loosely) in India trying to get help. They did nothing but give me wrong information and damage my operating system. from Amazon.com I had an old Net Anywhere router I used for a long time until it died. That cheap router was set up in just a few minuted including port forwarding for my server applications. I bought the Netgear WNR2000 as a replacement and I have been trying to do the port forwarding for hours with no positive results. The router won't support NAT loopback so you can't check your servers using external IPs. from Amazon.com No problems at all during the installation, even when no manual is included. If you know a little bit about routers it should be a breeze to set it up.. I've yet to test it with +150 Mbps Wireless N connection, but with 150Mbps N and g devices it has worked great so far.
