I am an IT personnel in a small company. Due to weak signal in my two story house, I upgraded to Wireless N. The range has been improved over Wireless G. from Amazon.com This router has serious overheating problem. When I put it normally, upside-up, then it became very hot (no holes on the top of the unit), and wireless Lan does not work. Do some search and you will find out. from Amazon.com This router has functioned OK for me, but is nothing spectacular. The price for this router was the lowest I could find for a n mode router. from Amazon.com It has been three weeks since I installed this router. It has good range, connection never drops. The start up time is about 10 seconds for the router. from Amazon.com Easy to use interface. Works really well in my existing setup with a linksys 54G. I limited the trendnet to only work with N so the computers that have n connect via it and the G computers still use the old linksys. Shipped very quickly too Cons: The router was not running at full N speed until I used WPA2 personal (or no security at all, which isn't ideal). from Newegg.com Pros: Great Price, Easy to setup and get up and running, works even better if you leave it unencrypted and aren't using vista. It works great with an ipod touch both encrypted and unencrypted. Cons: When encryption is on it is difficult to get laptops running xp, vista connected to the network. The configuration is straight forward but can be buggy, and after a couple of weeks a unit I setup at a friends house just stopped working. from Newegg.com Connection and performance fine Cons: The manual says that you've got to have a working modem connection before you can connect to the router. But my old D-link router doesn't require a working modem connection before connecting to it. Trendnet tech support said that I had to set up a broadband PPPoE first in Windows, so I did as they asked, but it messed up the whole network connection.
